This is the true story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family. Michael Jerome Oher (born May 28, 1986) is an offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Mississippi for the Ole Miss Rebels.
